Author Biography:

Michelle Glorieux enjoys culturally diverse living with her trilingual family (French, Dutch and English) in the San Francisco Bay area, after living for nearly a decade in her husband’s native Belgium. She lives and breathes language, has degrees in both language and radio/TV/film, has been a journalist and has taught French and English around the globe, from kindergarten to university. In love with art from the start, Michelle Hiraishi graduated from CSUF in Los Angeles with a BFA in Animation and Entertainment Design. She enjoys working both as a storyboard artist in animation and as an illustrator for children’s books and more. She has worked for Universal Animation Studios/Dreamworks and Surfer Jack Productions on the “Curious George” animated program, and currently works on the “Pete the Cat” animated show. Jesse Lewis is a four-time Grammy Award-winning music producer and sound recording engineer, and is well known for his collaborations with Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble, the Los Angeles Philharmonic with Gustavo Dudamel, and many more. When not producing music for others, he likes to jam with baroque and grunge cello, or might be found on the floor building block houses with his daughter in their bilingual English-Japanese household.
