Author Biography:

ALAN FELSTEAD is Reader in the Centre for Labour Market Studies, University of Leicester, UK. He is author of a number of books, including Global Trends in Flexible Labour, with Nick Jewson, published by Macmillan, and In Work, At Home: Towards an Understanding of Homeworking (Routledge, 2000), also with Nick Jewson. NICK JEWSON is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Sociology, University of Leicester, UK. In addition to his two books with Alan Felstead, he has published, in collaboration with Susanne MacGregor, Transforming Cities: Contested Governance and New Spatial
