Travel with Riya to "God's Own Country" and learn how and why we celebrate Onam. Join her at the enchanting snake boat races, watch a beautiful flower arrangement take shape, and enjoy the delicious Onasadya feast while learning about the great King Mahabali. Step into this book and watch Onam come alive! 'From The Toddler Diaries' is a series of illustrated books which celebrates the spectrum of Indian festivals as experienced by a child. Presented in poetry and color, the books are designed to drape parents and children in vivid hues of India's cultural fabric. The inspiration behind this collection comes from an appreciation of a child's clarity in perception, which becomes magical because of its simplicity. Other books in this series - Celebrate Durga Puja With Me! & Celebrate Holi With Me! Shoumi Sen's Celebrate With Me! books are always a delight and Celebrate Onam With Me! is a lovely addition to the series. As a reader, we feel drawn into the festival, the joy, the colors, and the celebrations...the book is true to how Onam is celebrated by people from Kerala all over the world...King Mahabali would approve! Preethi Chandrasekhar, Founder, Toka Box The books created by From The Toddler Diaries are a treat for both adults and children, and this is no exception. Author Biography:

Shoumi Sen is the creator of "From The Toddler Diaries", a series of children's books on Indian culture and mythology. Her previous books, 'Celebrate Durga Puja With Me!' and 'Celebrate Holi With Me!' have received rave reviews and are enjoyed by kids and parents alike. Shoumi is a Strategy, Sales and Marketing professional at a global energy management company. She studied engineering at BITS Pilani and The University of Maryland, College Park, and lives in California with her husband and daughter. Her childhood in Paris, Bombay, and Dubai provided her with opportunities to appreciate how Indians preserve their cultural connectedness even while living abroad. In her words, "Living outside India, it is sometimes tough for parents to ensure that their children remain connected to their Indian roots, while at the same time, appreciating the culture of the place they are growing up in. Books can certainly help with that challenge and my hope is that 'From The Toddler Diaries' can play a part in helping our children grow into global citizens."
