Description

Hudson River Valley, N.Y. Kevin and Betty Johnson and their friends are in deep trouble. Forging onward through a huge, unexplored cavern system, they make an incredible discovery; the City of Domes. However, unknown to them, they are being pursued by Manuel Martinez, a murderous, armed drug smuggler. Manuel is determined to kill them all. As bad as this seems, their problems have just begun. High above them, huge areas of land paralleling the Hudson River suddenly vanish. Trapped hundreds of feet below the surface inside a rapidly flooding subterranean chamber, the explorer's chances of survival appear to be minimal at best. The floodwaters are up to their necks, and the caverns are collapsing all around them. And now, their final avenue of escape is blocked.

Author Biography:

Karl Joseph Eckstein is the author of several science-fiction and action adventure books, plus two 'How to Write' manuals. Adventure has always been a part of his life. He has repelled out of helicopters, climbed the slopes of active volcanoes, and scuba or free-dived in the waters of Hawaii, Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Florida Keys, and the Caribbean Ocean. After completing a four year tour of duty in the U.S. Marine Corps, he and his wife traveled throughout the United States and portions of Mexico, where they explored underground cavern systems, visited abandoned Anasazi cliff dwellings and climbed ancient Maya pyramids. They have climbed mountains, walked and canoed through forests and swamplands, toured old forts, castles, and citadels in the Caribbean Islands, and hiked through portions of the mysterious El Yunque rain forest of Puerto Rico. His Action-Adventure stories are works of fiction, however, many of them take place in actual locations in which he has either explored, visited or resided. He often taps into these experiences when writing the manuscripts for his novels. He still spends untold hours researching the historical facts and technical information necessary to authenticate his ongoing stories.
