Description

Albie is an albino grey kiwi. No matter what he does, the other kiwi won't let him join their games. Albie meets a new friend, a brown kiwi, who will never be as big as the other grey kiwi, so she's different too. What Albie learns is that being different is okay. A lovely story told with humour and sensitivity.

Author Biography

LeAnne lives in the Wairarapa, with her husband Malcolm, and their four children. She has two stepsons and two grandchildren. Over the last 20 years, LeAnne has fostered and worked with 'at risk' children and youth. As a wife and mother who homeschools three of her children, finding the time to write proved challenging, however she succeeded and her first book, Pi's Problem, was published in 2004. In 2007 she also published The Treaty House.
