Author Biography:

Mark Ciminello is SAP's vice president and chief architect within the Chief Trust Office. He represents both the chief trust officer and the chief security officer and is the principal for customer-facing communications within SAP Global Security. Having some 40 years of experience, he works with some of the best-known brands in the world, and also supports the business of the Five Eyes intelligence network. In 2017, in a reflection of the strong partnership across the federal government and with industry partners such as SAP, he served on SAP's committee to advise then-president Donald J. Trump, resulting in Executive Order 13800, Strengthening the Cybersecurity of Federal Networks and Critical Infrastructure. He has numerous speaking engagements, is currently pursuing additional coursework through Harvard's Division of Continuing Education, and is authoring a book on personal security. He has previously served on the faculty of the Arizona Institute for Business and Technology (AIBT). Yassar Albarakat is a content developer at SAP, in the Chief Trust Office department. He has two college degrees: a bachelor of science in cognitive science from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a master's degree in communication management from the University of Southern California. He has expertise in a variety of areas, including but not limited to: market research, data analysis, content development, and project management. Projects that he has completed include the facilitation of the SAP Trust Center in the SAP Help Portal, security whitepapers, and the creation of a competitor analysis for SAP's communication strategies in comparison to its top competitors. He is an individual who thrives in any role he is assigned to and makes sure that all aspects of a project are completed in an efficient and timely manner. Holden Canet is a communications and marketing professional currently working as a content developer at SAP within the Chief Trust Office. Within this role, he has been a key part of multiple projects including security video scriptwriting and editing of blogs or internal wiki pages. He is a graduate of Biola University with a degree in communication studies, and an emphasis in rhetorical studies. Thus, his proficiencies lie in writing, content creation, editing, qualitative research, and other such abilities. The passion and attention-to-detail he brings to every role allow him to excel and continually strive to improve in his professional and personal life. Julian Lasher is a creative writer and storyteller currently working for SAP as an intern in the Chief Trust Office. He is in his last year of studies at Johns Hopkins University, where he studies writing seminars and philosophy, and in his time at SAP he has contributed as a writer to the book Implementing a Security Program with SAP. His skills are in research, content development, and collaboration. Lauren Yang is currently studying economics with a minor in visual arts at the University of Chicago. Throughout her education and previous professional experiences, she has developed skills in project management, problem-solving, and collaboration. At SAP, she has worked on various data analytics projects in the construction and transportation industries as well as contributing to the SAP global security team through research and content creation. During these projects she has developed the ability to adapt to new challenges, work effectively in a team environment, and deliver high-quality results. Her experience at SAP has provided her with invaluable real-world experience and further allowed her to apply her education, utilize and develop her skills, and contribute to meaningful projects.
