Purchased on Mighty Ape

I already saw all episodes online years ago and continued through all the manga, but bought this just because it deserved to be bought.

This is the best mecha type anime short series I've seen and the best one out in years – if not ever. Quality and classy production and animation. The machines are hand drawn. Storyline is top of the line for action anime; ‘original’, mature without saturated fanservice and cliche anime techniques. It is an anime though, so they can be found (maybe one true instance, but tasteful).

The only negative about the collection is the last episode, as Roger's review notes. It changes its ending from the true story found in the manga.

This is not a hit and miss. It hits hard in 5/6 episodes. I encourage you to continue the series through the manga by any means possible (e.g. phone, tablet manga reading app).

"Hit and Miss."

This series was actually really frustrating. It had such a good start but by the 3rd episode your hating the protagonist, wondering what the hell happened to the antagonist and have stopped caring about the rest of the characters that seemed to vanish mid way through.

The pacing is really annoying and it never really delivers. Its based on a Manga and hints that there could be more episodes but I doubt it considering the creators of the Anime changed the ending to suit the series.

I was really disappointed with this series because it had such a great start. Most of the characters never really get to where you think they are going and it falls short.

Would not recommend.

Description

In Cruzon, children are born with the ability to control quartz. This power allows them to levitate simple objects – or control enormous and complex mobile battle suits called Golems. But when an ancient Golem is discovered during the height of a brutal war, a young king and his beautiful queen turn to Rygart Arrow. Though an “un-sorcerer,” Rygart can miraculously pilot this ancient and powerful weapon. But in war, school friends can turn into bitter enemies and allies have suspicious motives.
