All the worksheets are photocopiable and are compatible with the Primary Literacy Strategy for Key Stage 2. Activities range from analysing leaflets and advertisements to locating information and looking at how it is structured. Most of the activities allow for differentiation by outcomes and so may be used with the whole class. Differentiated sheets are included where necessary so that children of lower ability have more guidance or less to do in quantity. Extension activities are given to challenge the most able, and follow-on activities enable teacher to extend the work further. The book contains one chapter for each of Key Stage 2. Each chapter contains a lesson plan, photocopiable texts to promote readings skills and discussion and photocopiable worksheets which can be used for independent work.
