Somehow mine arrived with a small tear in part of the box, as though someone had already opened it. Which is a bit odd but I can look past it.
What I can't look past is the way she reflects light so beautifully, with an inner layer to the pop and an outer layer so you can see those sweet sweet refracting lights. Her hair all has a really nicely blended ombre to it as well.
What confuses me about the pop itself is they, for some reason, saw the need to make her head rotatable- With the transparent nature of the pop, they had to avoid using a technique that would show solid plastic so opted for using a method that just ultimately feels scarily flimsy- It feels like an old barbies waist after being swung round by children for 30 years straight. I was perfectly ready for, and happy with, the notion of a pop that had absolutely no articulation.
Considering that she's a pop, no problems should occur relating to her structure, I'm willing to believe the product could probably suffer the same trials as any other pop and come out just the same. It just feels a bit daunting when you're holding her.
But luckily, again, she's a pop, not much holding shall be done.
What I'm more or less saying is, the pop is a solid 9/10 for appearance and paint, put her atop a shelf or on your desk, appreciate the splendor, but maybe don't go letting your kid run around with her because she's a limited edition who's neck gives me anxiety.
