Many years ago, the thought of Jeff Necessary writing children's books would've been almost laughable. Once he took the bold step of opening his home to three new puppies, he realized the stories should be told. Jeff's friends can attest to the fact that he has a special place in his heart for dogs. He often says, "Dogs are so much better than people." Jeff comes from rural Virginia. His family had dogs as he grew up, and he recalls, "those dogs were treated like royalty." A Business Administration major at King University in Bristol, Tn., Jeff currently teaches Current Events and Civics at North Myrtle Beach High School. According to Jeff, "I've missed out on lots of stuff as I've taken care of these dogs. I rarely travel. I've walked them in severe storms, heavy rains, and strong winds. They wake me up at all hours to go outside. They've chewed up many things, and they shed like it's their job. I've spent thousands of dollars in vet bills and had to fight them to get medicine in them. With all that, I wouldn't trade or change one thing about these dogs. They are truly my world."
