The team of John Sanderson, pilot and astronaut; Dr. Gum, dentist and amateur pilot; and Dr. Bones, the archaeological specialist have convinced their sponsors to fund an elaborate undertaking. They plan to embark on an equatorial globetrotting trek encompassing some of the most remote uncharted islands, with pit stops to study some of the most isolated primitive tribes and trivia. The untested albeit airworthy aircraft is pushed to the limit in record breaking time until an emergency broadcast from Addis Ababa forces a deadly detour over enemy airspace. They arrive to discover the Ark of the Covenant has been stolen. Their search and rescue mission takes them to Jerusalem to Christ's tomb and a miraculous discovery by a local trauma surgeon leaves the crew spellbound. Some of Christ's blood has been recovered from the mercy seat from the tomb and cloned. Unfortunately the encroachment on the crucifixion site causes an unexpected 3-day delay and interrogation. Driven by the compelling medical discovery they continue on course to Rome to uncover another part of the shocking puzzle.
