Description

Best Friends, the Angel Canyon, Utah animal sanctuary, is home to over 2,000 furry and feathered friends. After tender care, 75 percent are ultimately adopted; the rest live out their lives on Best Friends's 3,000 gorgeous acres, surrounded by loving human and animal pals. Best Friends is the story of some of those humans, who in 1980 founded and built this wonderful place. It's also the story of the animals them-selves, including Sinjin, the badly-burned black cat who survived to welcome others; Victor, the abandoned Australian Shepherd mix, who became the Godfather of dogs; Sparkles, the broken-down pack horse, who comforts both humans and animals; and more. Sometimes comic, sometimes poignant...always compulsively readable, Best Friends is a must-have book for animal lovers everywhere.

She lives in Lake Tahoe with her husband and four-legged family, and has just broken ground for an old-age home for cats.
