Beauty in Trouble
Left homeless by a flood, and all out of passion for her tightly-wound petty criminal husband, the alluring Marcela (Anna Geislerova) takes her two kids and moves in with her mother.
The mother's boyfriend is a monster, and the kids are unhappy, but Marcela can't afford to relocate – until a prosperous older man becomes besotted by her, and offers to help. Can Marcela distinguish love from gratitude? And has she really got her ex out of her system? Superb, sexy, consummately elegant Czech drama, inspired by the poem by Robert Graves and directed by Jan Hrebejk.
