Die vorliegende Ausgabe, die auch die Rhenanus-Vita von Sturm enthalt, erschliesst den Text durch Ubersetzung, Quellennachweise und Indices. Die kommentierenden Studien berucksichtigen den Briefwechsel des Autors, erlautern seine Methode und untersuchen den Text auf Einflusse italienischer und deutscher Humanisten des 15. und 16. Jahrhunderts."
