‘Beatin’ Hearts’, originally released in the 80’s, is an absolutely
unique brand of psychedelic
rock from the classic New Zealand band, the Builders.
Their music is a post-punk, often minimalistic garage rock psychedelia born
on the art side
of the tracks.
Builders are the legendary New Zealand music group who produced a string of
self recorded
7-inch vinyl releases between 1980 and 1982 before ‘Beatin Hearts’, the
first
studio-album from fledgling New Zealand independent record label Flying Nun
Records.
Mostly recorded at Progressive Music Studios in the early 80’s and engineered
by Doug
hood and Terry King, it has now been remastered by Forbes Williams.
Original release of this record sold extremely well and is now back for a
re-issue, also
includes a free download code to go with it!
