Badlands (Stylized as BADLANDS) is the debut studio album by American singer-songwriter Halsey which is set to be released on August 28, 2015 through Astralwerks Records. The name “Badlands” is a reference to Halsey's state of mind while writing the album, to give a physical place as a metaphor for a desolate and lonely mind.

“Hurricane” was released on October 16, 2014 as the first single for the album. The song is also included on the Room 93 EP, which was released in April 2015.
“Ghost”, which is also included on the Room 93 EP, was released on October 27, 2014 as the second single.
“Hold Me Down” is the first promotional single released from Badlands. The song was released on Halsey's official Vevo channel on June 2, 2015.
“New Americana” is the second promotional single released from “Badlands” which was previously a song Halsey (Ashley) had already posted on soundcloud. This however is a new version and was released on Friday July 10, 2015 in the USA and Sunday July 12, 2015 in the rest of the world.
