"Long awaited sequel that is worth the wait"
5 stars"

Bad Santa is one of my favourite movies and even though this sequel is not as good as the first I still loved it and will watch it again. Kathy Bates plays a great role as Billy Bob Thornton bad ass foul-mouthed mom, but was disappointed Thurman Merman was not in it more – love that sandwich making kid. Again, nowhere as good as the first but still hoping there is a Bad Santa 3 in the making!

Bad Santa 2

Billy Bob Thornton is back in the red suit as Willie, and he's wilder, drunker and badder than ever. Together with his angry little sidekick, Marcus (Tony Cox), they plan to knock off a charity on Christmas Eve in a scheme devised by Willie's butch bitch of a mother, Sunny. Willie's love of curvaceous women is satisfied by the director of the charity, Diane (Christina Hendricks), who quickly loses her prim and proper demeanor and unleashes her wild side. And they are once again joined by Thurman Merman (Brett Kelly), a lard-arsed, feeble-minded kid with a heart of gold who brings out Willie's sliver of humanity.

Critic Reviews:

  • " There's something genuinely awesome and genuinely awful about a film in which the leading characters all are relentlessly cruel to one another yet. " – Richard Propes
  • " A slightly inferior sequel. " – David Nusair
  • " Naughty, not nice, often hilarious. Thornton and Bates make a great mother-son team. " – James Verniere
