Description

This is a rallying-call to the faithful to return to the Bible. "Back to the Bible" is a well-written introduction to the Bible for those not familiar with it, and a stout defence of it for those willing to dismiss it. At the heart of this book is criticism of the Church of England. Mr Gallimore argues that Church attendance is falling because its hierarchy does not lead clearly and fails to get its message across. Too many eminent churchmen proclaim views which in times gone by would have been blasphemous. Mr Gallimore takes a 'back to basics' approach, examining several biblical tales which have been seen as myths and producing scientific and archaeological evidence to show that they could, in fact, be true. He also shows that many of Jesus' miracles could well have happened, just as they are described in the Gospels.
