Laura Sullivan - Hair Expert, Holistic Health Educator, Speaker, Actress Laura grew up in a rural area outside Boston, Massachusetts playing in nature as much as possible. Although she was blessed with beautiful hair, she also experienced hair traumas throughout her life that awakened a special sensitivity to many hair challenges. Her work in the entertainment industry brought her to Los Angeles where she met Mercury Yount, the creator of Hair Balancing. Intrigued by his way of cutting hair using Sacred Geometry, she was not ready to experience it until her long, straight, healthy hair was destroyed by a professional perm gone wrong. It was a life changing disaster. Miraculously, Hair Balancing quickly healed that hair trauma, and turned her straight hair into lovely, wash and wear curls that remain decades later. Intent on maintaining her balanced hair while Mercury was away for months at a time, she took his formal training in Hair Balancing. Although she learned for herself, she couldn't help but share this powerful healing process with her friends. After Mercury's tragic passing, his clients sought her out, desperate to have their hair balanced, and a new life path began as the High Priestess of Hair. Linda Deslauriers - Psychologist, Hair Expert, Image Consultant, Educator Linda was born and raised in Hamburg, Germany. As a teenager she experienced hair loss and other hair problems, which ignited her interest in holistic health and psychology. For her Master's in Clinical Psychology from the University of Hamburg Linda wrote a thesis on the significance of hair. For her Master's in Literature from the University of Hawaii, she completed a thesis on hair symbolism in fairy tales. Linda met Mercury in Europe, and similar to Laura, had no intention of making a career out of Hair Balancing but eventually dedicated herself to refining and deepening the healing art of Hair Balancing. When Linda moved to the US, she studied Anthony Morrocco's holistic hair care system, which uses astrologically based lunar cuts, Chinese medicine, chemical-free products, and proper hair and scalp care to promote healthy hair growth. Linda designed her line of Gemcombs, which are combs carved out of different gemstones used for transformation, healing, and beauty. When Linda and Laura eventually met they recognized a profound connection. They merged their talent and expertise to create Hair Mastery International, the most advanced training in holistic hair care.
