Not knowing much about Blessthefall I picked up Awakening. It is their third album and second with new vocalist.
The first listen gave little to offer in terms of innovation, sticking to tried and tested Metalcore throughout the most of the album. But this is Blessthefalls greatest asset, sticking true to the genres confines and excelling at it. The result is a great melodic Metalcore album.
Throw in their screamo origins that they draw from, and the raw screams, clean vocals and epic riffs and breakdowns make for some sweet tunes.
