"The most satisfying collector's edition movie I have ever owned"
5 stars"

When AVATAR came out in cinemas, I watched it 6 or 7 times. When I bought this, the extended footage made all the difference, as well as the deleted scenes, which were amazing to watch, whether an enthusiast or not! Definitely worth it

James Cameron's Avatar is just as stunning on DVD as it was on the big screen, the quality of this representation is spot on with high definition visuals to room filling 5.1 surround sound this DVD is well worth adding to your collection.

"Good but not satisfying, glad I din't pay full price."

I really loved the movie and wanted more. Disc 2 has more scenes, some exposition, but hardly any more story. Needs more James Cameron world of Pandora thoughts and background. I enjoyed the making of Avatar (it has a long history).

James Cameron's Avatar is a amazing and spectacular film and it takes you more into James Cameron's world of Pandora and that it gives you more idea of what the story line is about and lots of unseen footage.

Avatar is imagination from James Cameron in ways we've never seen. The extra content of this DVD set is unreal too.

The collectors extended version is the best ever. 15 minutes of extra explanation and fill ins makes the whole story much more sensible – I can watch this movie over and over

I am a bit of an Avatar “buff” and have seen the movie numerous times. This version with the extra scenes is well worth the money. Totally recommended.

Not as expensive as the other set but more than just the DVD. A good little package that my family and I thoroughly enjoyed.

So you are thinking of releasing a DVD set with 3 versions of a movie right? You think it would be appropriate to fit one or two versions of the movie on one disk and the remaining one on the next disk… Yes? Not the genius' making the Avatar set…They just broke each of the three movies in half and put 3 first halves of the movie on one disk and three second halves of the movie on the second disk. In what is possibly a first since DVD have been invented (I believe specifically to replace that particular problem) I had to get up half way through a movie to change the disk… I felt like i was playing metal gear solid on the play station one again.

The movie was good and the 16 extra minutes of movie for the special edition do provide some nice back-story. The only immersion ruining special effect was around the 1h:30m mark when it proclaimed i should change disk.
