Atlantic City
In a modern day Atlantic city, where gambling is legal, a drug-related slaying leaves Lou (Burn Lancaster) a small fortune. With a new car, and a new girl he can finally live his fantasy of becoming a big-time mobster. When Sallie (Susan Sarandon), a naive and pregnant blackjack dealer, is accused of stealing money from the mafia, she turns to Lou for help.
Against a backdrop of mob dealings and a rapidly evolving city, the two begin to live out their dreams, and in helping eachother, begin to transform themselves.
