After 12 years working for Michel Roux Jr. at Le Gavroche, she left in 2015 to open her own London restaurant, Mere – now ranked 7th in the National Restaurant Awards. Monica is a familiar face on television as a judge on MasterChef: The Professionals (BBC2's highest rated cookery show, with consolidated average audience of 3.11 million and a 14% market share) and regularly appears on a host of television shows including Saturday Kitchen and Amazing Hotels .
