Author Biography:

Stefan Ouma is Assistant Professor in the Departmentof Human Geography at the Goethe University of Frankfurt. Being aneconomic geographer by training, he has worked extensively onglobal commodity chains, agrifood standards, smallholderagriculture, and contract farming in East and West Africa.
