Would recommend a read of this book …sure is an eye opener and unbelievable revelations
Most of the material in Wisharts book is more faithfully covered in David Yallops book “Beyond Reasonable Doubt.” Wishart begins his story claiming “explosive” new evidence at the books beginning but at the end of the book on page 243 Wishart admits theres NONE supporting evidence for his story at all ! The secret witness didnt make an official complaint with a sworn statement either. Cop Johnston at the time of the Pukekawa double murders gots lots of phoney calls from people claiming that Lee Harvey Oswald or the Aliens did the killings. Ian Wisharts book is very reckless and it erodes the good work from other authors like David Yallop because it has a huge amount of inconclusive and unsupported evidence, and worse, a lot of mere speculation which serves to contaminate the faithful evidence there is with the Arthur Allan Thomas story.
Confirms what many people suspect ......that this is another of the many miscarriages of justice in this country …well researched by an author who has an insatiable thirst for the truth.
I enjoyed reading about the thomas case, after reading i've come to the conclusion there were several persons who could have done this terrible crime.i do agree there should be an independent inquiry.it was a well written book thanks…
When the law in any country and those who are given the extreme powers to administer it is compromised in any way, the results are serious. This book points up enough evidence to give cause for real concern. Is it a one of situation, or the tip of an iceburg ? Only a major independant inquiry can give the reassurance required. The problems highlighted are way bigger than just the wrong man going to jail, as bad as that is. Justice was compromised and perhaps still is every day. I do not want to believe that, or live never realy knowing. mrh.
Interesting with new material that wasn't previously published however feel that it is more Ian Wishart's story and theories than it is Arthur Allan Thomas's. However more proof needed for the theories put forward.
