Michael Bird is a writer and art historian. He read English at Oxford University, and has written on art, literature and cultural history for newspapers and journals including The Times, the Guardian and Modern Painters. He is the author of Sandra Blow, The St Ives Artists: A Biography of Place and Time, and Bryan Wynter.
