Author Biography:

Marie Louise Caltabiano is Associate Professor of Psychology in the School of Arts and Social Sciences at James Cook University, Australia. With 20 years of teaching experience in clinical health psychology, she is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and the American Psychological Association, and co-author of Health Psychology: Biopsychosocial Interactions (Wiley, 2008), the Australasian adaptation of Sarafino's Health Psychology. Lina Ricciardelli is Associate Professor in the School of Psychology at Deakin University, Australia, and chairs the College of Health Psychologists in the Australian Psychological Society. She has published more than 100 papers on health psychology, developmental psychology, and substance use.
