I was shocked to read that this was a true story. I enjoyed watching this as did my children though felt it was rather different from the king and I the original story. I have added it to my library simply for the classical value of such a film. Jodie foster plays a very compelling part and it is good to see chow Yum fat out of a martial arts role.
