Description

Sometimes, when we have a quiet moment in life, or a troubling moment or a downright difficult moment to get through, we take pause to ponder. We ponder the people that have come and gone from our lives and those who have stayed. We ponder circumstances and how we could have gone about them differently or avoided them altogether. We ponder on those paths untaken and what might have been. But, every single event that has been a part of our lives makes up who we are and where we are today. Though fortune may have shone its light upon us, we still have wishes, losses, regrets. This is a story of a woman who pondered and decided to go back, way back, to the beginning and sift through the good, the bad, the ugly and try to make some kind of sense of it all. She scrapples with terribly bad choices as well as triumphant moments. She comes to some profound realizations and wonders if time is yet still on her side.

Author Biography

Marcia Harris decided to write her memoir, not because she felt it would be a great read, but as an attempt to go back to the beginning, as far as she could remember, and recount as much of her life as possible to try to piece together how she came to arrive at the present. She remembered things she hadn't thought of in years that made her laugh hysterically to herself as she typed away. Others made her sad and embarrassed. Overall, she found it extremely therapeutic. She even thought it may be helpful to someone that may have struggled with similar circumstances. So, instead of a few copies made for only family and a few close friends, she decided to put it out there in the universe for anyone who happened upon it. She feels that everyone should write their own memoir and highly recommends it. Harris doesn't feel that you have to be famous or have accomplished something extraordinary to write an interesting memoir. Sometimes, the most seemingly mundane existence can be filled with a spirit or energy that captures the heart. The therapeutic results from the satisfaction of purging the past are undeniable. Everyone has skeletons in the closet. Harris decided to let hers out to play. When not writing, Harris enjoys hiking, tennis and advocating for the rights of animals. She resides in Franklin, Tennessee and is currently working on her fifth book.
