Description

Dr. Maya Angelou lives fifteen minutes from this ordinary town. Dr. Gary Chapman, the author of the New York Times bestselling book, "The Five Love Languages," does as well. Both authors give advice in this book. Other neighbors also provide a peek behind their backyard fence and a glimpse into their soul. For example, meet "Mike the Miracle Man." Mike had a heart attack on his bathroom floor, received CPR for 60 minutes, and is alive to tell about it. Another neighbor is, Timea Reid. She married because of love at first. Did her marriage flop or thrive? Each neighbor reveals real life in its truest and most raw form-- with lessons from which every single ordinary and extraordinary person can benefit.

Author Biography:

Jill's background both personally and professionally as a mother, political strategist, news anchor and world traveler extraordinaire is just as colorful and riveting as her book. She hit the ground running after college navigating the political climate on Capitol Hill while working for a senior appropriations Cardinal from North Carolina in the United States House of Representatives. After gaining an in depth understanding of policy, procedure, and political posturing, she further complimented her career at a top ten D.C. lobbying shop as a political and communications aide. Jill knew that she wanted to provide information to people on a national level and took the plunge to accept an internship with FOX News in New York City. Her instincts proved to be spot on because she found a love for big cities, the pace of the news industry and a knack for performing under pressure. Jill's next news stint catapulted her news career as an established news reporter and eventually as a morning and midday news anchor in Lincoln, Nebraska. After finding her husband in Lincoln, Jill moved her growing family back to her hometown of Clemmons, NC. In order to be a stay-at-home mother, Jill and her husband decided to live with Jill's parents and save money for a house of their own. Currently, Jill writes a weekly column for her local paper, The Clemmons Courier, which circulates to over 2,000 people.
