While on the surface it appears just an XCOM clone, it actually plays rather differently with the squad acting as a single unit and the gameplay being in real time as opposed to turn based. A good mix of stealth and action although the stealth often feels unfair and you always end up shooting your way through anyway. The atmosphere and the sound design are top notch with the visuals looking pretty good too. Story is interesting enough but it's nothing too special. Just in terms of gameplay and immersion alone, I'd say it's a pretty easy recommendation if you're either a fan of the genre or a fan of the Alien IP. I really want to rate it higher but it does unfortunately suffer from a lack of variety in enemy types, sometimes the pacing is a little too slow, the gameplay does get a bit repetitive by the end and the upgrades, perks and new weapons don't feel quite as good as what XCOM has to offer. Although I think it's a solid game whether you're an Alien fan or not, I'd say perhaps just wait for it to come down in price a little so that you can feel more confident that you'll get your moneys worth. So yes, I say get it but a fair price point in my opinion is anything below $45 just because all though it's great, it still isn't quite up there with XCOM
