Very nice taste. Not as overly smokey as I would have thought. Has a slight heat – very gentle but you know it is there. Seems to go best with plain unmarinated meats. I imagine that anything that has been BBQed would taste amazing with this sauce added. Has a bit of a fruity taste, which makes it nicer than a lot of other sauces of a similar BBQ style. Would recommend.
Alderson’s Smokey Morepork BBQ sauce is the all natural family friendly condiment. It works wonders on beef, pork, chicken, pizza and roasted vegetables and will put some seared sizzle into your bland nibbles.
Morepork is a nice natural take on a sauce that is traditionally packed full of third party ingredients, cheap sweeteners, thickeners and liquid smoke. In this sauce we’ve used natural and unrefined sweeteners, fresh onion and garlic and we’ve smoked our onions in Manuka to give a natural smoke flavour. It’s gluten free and vegan and is primarily made from NZ produced ingredients. It tastes like a real bbq sauce should!
