"Paint before gluing"

Purchased on Mighty Ape

Nice kit with good detail and options for open and closed doors, motor installation, flight and storage mode (folded tail and unextended rotors). Don't use the rotor blade decals (tail rotor and main rotor) because the tail ones are bigger than the blade and fall off easily, and the main rotor ones make the model look worse.

The biggest thing is to put the main body of the aircraft together with a weak glue stick (not poly cement) and give it the camo painting before adding any of the clear parts, rotor blades, wheels or detail attachments. Then disassemble and glue according to the instructions, or else you'll be in for a really hard time trying to mask or freehand paint the camouflage on this model. Apply weathering at this stage as well. The fit is good for the most part, but it can use a bit of filler for the join seam on the tail and the bottom of the aircraft. Instructions are in colour and also highlight the previous assembly step which is much appreciated.
