Author Biography:

Award winner Stanley Krippner, an American psychologist, is an executive faculty member and Professor of Psychology at Saybrook University in San Francisco. Adam J. Rock is Lecturer at the School of Behavioural, Cognitive and Social Sciences at the University of New England, Armidale, NSW, Australia. His primary research interests are in the area of altered states of consciousness, mainly focused on shamanism, conceptual problem of consciousness, mediumship, alcohol cue-reactivity, spiritual emergency vs. medical psychosis, and psi. Julie Beischel is co-founder and Director of Research at the Windbridge Institute for Applied Research in Human Potential in Tucson, Arizona. She is a full member of the Parapsychological Association and the Society for Scientific Exploration, and serves on the scientific advisory board of the Rhine Research Center. Consulting and clinical psychologist Harris L. Friedman is a retired research professor of psychology from the University of Florida, Gainesville. He lives in LaBelle, Florida. Cheryl L. Fracasso is currently pursuing licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist and Mental Health Counselor at Antioch University, Seattle, Washington. She serves as faculty at University of Phoenix and is an Advisory Board Member with the NeuroQuantology journal and the American Center for the Integration of Spiritually Transformative Experiences.
