Addams' Apple presents more than 150 cartoons created by "Chas" Addams (American, 1912-1988) throughout his prolific career; some have never been published before. More of the artist's work can be seen in The Addams Family: An Evilution (Pomegranate, 2010).

Author Biography:

Sarah M. Henry is deputy director and chief curator at the Museum of the City of New York. Dr. Henry received a PhD in American History from Columbia University and a BA from Yale in History and Mathematics/Philosophy. She is the recipient of the Manhattan Borough President's History Visionary Award, is a member of the New York Academy of History, and serves on the board of the International Council of Museums' Committee on the Collections and Activities of Museums of Cities (CAMOe. In 2010, she curated Charles Addams's New York in collaboration with H. Kevin Miserocchi, and in 2016 curated the Museum's award-winning signature exhibition, New York at Its Core (2016). Luc Sante is the author of Low Life, The Factory of Facts, Kill All Your Darlings, and The Other Paris, among other books. An award-winning writer and Guggenheim Fellow, he teaches at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York.
