Why did Jesus say to pray to "Our Father" and to call Almighty God, our Father?God chose this relationship with us, He wants us to completely rely upon Him and trust Him as a child trusts their loving earthly father. We are to become as children and rely upon Him completely to care for us and to provide for all of our needs. He does not ask us to call Him master, or Almighty One, or Your Majesty, but He asks us to call Him our Father which art in Heaven. This is the relationship He desires with all of us. He desires to be our loving and amazing Father in Heaven, the Father who loves His imperfect children, with His perfect love. Romans 8:15 (ESV)15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, "Abba! Father!"
