This study has been carried out in adolescent students of Royal collage of Science and Technology (RCST, Residential), Bhubaneswar, Orissa during December 2005. The study aims to find out the prevalence, etiology, clinical features and pattern of depression in adolescent students. The study uses Beck's Depression Inventory and its method of scoring and interpretation. The prevalence along with epidemiology related to depression have come out as an outcome in the study. The study portrays different factors associated with adolescent depression in detail and covers all major factors that are generally a part of depression in teen age group.
