In this 90-minutes read, Bruno Loyiso shares vulnerably about his rocky journey as a Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Base leader, and about how he and his leadership team were led to discover a different approach to leadership: a Jesus centred team leadership approach. Readers are invited to glean valuable lessons from the mistakes and victories he and his team experienced while leading in a dynamic, cross-cultural context. While this short book may be an appealing read to leaders whose time is rather scarce, it offers great depth, food for thought and an invitation to prayerfully engage with this More Desirable Way of leadership.

Author Biography:

Bruno grew up in a Christian home in Switzerland and was named Loyiso by his (now late) Xhosa language teacher, Tata Jacobs. Bruno Loyiso is also a banker, musician, influencer, idealist, teacher, maximiser and dedicated family man. He obtained leadership experience as a youth group leader, orchestra and choir conductor, constable at the Swiss Army Music, pioneering leader of several church and business projects, as well as in his role as a YWAM Base leader for the past 10 years. Bruno Loyiso has been involved with YWAM Worcester since January 2000. Together with his wife, Judy, he moved to Worcester in 2006, where the couple also became parents to a son and two daughters.
