Description

Hitoshi and the gang go back to Kikuko's cabin in Aomori. Forty runs over a small wolf like dog with his skis and takes it home to care for it. They soon learn that the dog is a rare Japanese Wolf and the area is filled with reporters after the dog. Forty promises the dog that he will return him to the mountains when he is better. Forty and the gang use a 'reverse reality module' to return the dog to the wild. Saati backs up her information one day but she somehow backs up an old woman's web page along with it. She begins to see images and have dreams (which programs aren't supposed to have). In her dream she sees an old, wooden school house. Saati enters the internet to try to find the origin of the dream. She ends up outside of the old woman's house. When she knocks on the door the old woman's granddaughter answers and says that her grandmother is dead. Saati learns that the old woman had been a teacher and that the old wooden school she taught in is about to be destroyed. She taught during the war and one year she had to leave the school before handing out diplomas to the students. Saati and the gang decide to gather up all the old students and hand out the diplomas from 50 years ago, which are found in a desk in the old school. The spirit of the old dead woman is happy. The gang decide they need to go on a diet and head to the Yamazaki Dieter's Pension. There they take part in various oddball diet plans that don't seem to work but cost a lot of money. When they finally get home they see the owner, Miss Yamazaki, being arrested for fraud. I hope they learned their lesson. When Twenty runs up the bills the gang is forced to get a job. They find one at the Namako computer game company. They are put in charge of a video game that is about to be premiered at a convention. Just before the convention an error occurs and the data is deleted. Twenty and the gang act as computerized fighters and provide a 3-d version of the game at the convention. Cynthia McDougal, the Hollywood starlet and daughter of the wealthy CEO of an American computer company, is in Japan buying a computer. Hitoshi sees her at the computer store and helps her. Later Hitoshi helps her set up the computer and learns that she is trying to use it to get back in touch with her father, whom she's fighting with. However, Cynthia hates and fears computers. Her one wish is to send her father a birthday e-mail before his birthday is over. She manages to do this and he responds. They make up. Everything is wonderful.
