This story works equally well as a stand-alone or as a sequel to Bruce Timm's Animated DC Universe. Superman and Batman show why they are considered the World's Finest team when they have to stand alone against a horde of both heroes and villains doing the bidding of Lex Luthor.
Batman and Superman battle supervillains. Superman and Batman battle superheroes. Lots of super battles and lots of action. That is what I want in a superhero movie.
