Description

When we were little, our father filmed family moments with a motion picture camera (as he called it). I never saw the footage until I was an adult. What a blessing it was to see my parents when they were younger, and all of my siblings in those frames. I actually cried when I saw myself as an infant, because my brother Rodney, although he was just a pre-teen, was holding me like I was the most precious child in the world. He held me like I was his. This image is fitting for Rodney. He is a man who takes ownership

Author Biography:

Rodney Johnson, a mature and talented man, who knows where he is in his comedic capabilities, and is focusing on where they can take him. Gifted in the art of producing laughter, Rodney has worked hard to polish his craft. With his quick-witted improvisations, he has tickled the funny bone of all kinds of audiences. His style of comedy is often spontaneous, and deals with situations that occur on a daily basis. Using a common sense approach to various circumstances, Rodney sheds light on the hilarity of human folly. This allows audiences to be able to laugh at others, as well as themselves. His goal is to unite diverse people of vast cultures and backgrounds by revealing that their common bond is laughter. In addition to his stand up Rodney has completed writing his one man play "Confessions of a Broken Man." This true life story takes you on a journey through one man's quest to truly understand the role in which a man plays in the family. This story will reveal the battles that the enemy has against the perseverance of the family with deceit while removing men from the headship of the family. The play focuses on the difficult period he dealt with after the failure of his marriage of 15 years. He also sheds light on blended family problems with raising children from different marriage, dealing with unresolved issue's from previous relationships and learning to forgive oneself and others. This play is a true spiritual awakening filled with humor, drama, music, but most of all hope, which we all need today.
