186 Dollars to Freedom
1980. Peru.Wayne Montgomery is a young, naive, Californian surfer teaching English. Life is good until one day, for no apparent reason, he is arrested and thrown into Lima's infamous Sexto Prison. Corrupt police officials charge him with drug trafficking in the hope of extorting a “ransom” from his family. But Wayne refuses to co-operate. Beaten, starved and left to rot in a living hell, even the American consulate aren't interested in his case. Wayne is forced to integrate with his fellow prisoners in the hope of securing the means of escape. Most are either lifers or political activists, other just innocent victims of the corrupt Peruvian system.
Wayne is seen as easy pickings for the sadistic police inspector and a psychotic lifer. His only hope of staying alive is to stand his ground and fight back. But when a young inmate is found murdered, the entire prison explodes into savage chaos. Wayne's hopes of escape soon become a desperate race for survival in what will soon become a living nightmare!
