Once again, Italians come out on top of the cheap exploitation trash-heap! This lurid tale seems to have one thing in mind: to offend and disgust. Well, it does pretty much both, and certainly there are some people who simply should not watch it. I personally have desensitised myself as a result of watching tripe like this to such a degree that I have no queasiness issues(except maybe with “Cannibal Holocaust”) regarding what I watch. This film is an odd combination of zombies, cannibals, ritual sacrifice and dastardly surgeons. There's absolutely no reason for this film to exist, and watching it will bring no substance or enlightenment, but then it doesn't claim it will. It is not aimed at “Agnes Of God” or “A Passage To India” fans. It is aimed at gorehounds, and any self-respecting gorehound will howl with embarrassed delight! I give it two stars because it is dreadful, but if you're curious and iron-stomached, check it out!
