"excellent"
5 stars"

i own the wireless headset and its great. no problems sync-ing with my controller or console whatsoever, excellent voice clarity and my friends can hear me loud and clear. I hear about people experiencing problems with static and connection drops etc but I've owned mine for two months and NEVER had a problem with it.

random piece of info, out of a full charge (3 hours or so) you get a solid 7 hours of play before the battery starts to get to 40% remaining!!

"NOT the ultimate Live! Accessory you think it will be..."
2 stars"

Now, I admit when I bought this, I was impressed with its quality, however people constantly complained that they could hardly hear me, or that I sounded very distant, secondly there is no “play and charge” feature, it is “play OR charge” which is a huuuuuge no no from my point of view… I want to carry on the carnage! Also thirdly: whilst at first, the battery life is excellent, even looked after and charged/discharged properly, the battery life diminishes noticeably with extended usage of the unit!

Frankly, you're far better off sourcing yourself a unit called the X25 from Plantronics (the people who make NASA's headsets… so yes, you might say they're good!) because it is far superior, and whilst it is not wireless, it is more comfortable (especially to a glasses wearer such as myself) and a LOT clearer, and I have never in the whole time I have been using it had any complaints from other users regards my microphone with this unit, which I got ALL the time with the wireless one!!

Why waste money on this wireless headset when, eventually; you will run into problems with it… the gripes I state at the start of this review are admittedly small, but for the price, I expect perfection! Which is not what I got from this unit at all, it's about as temperamental as a badly behaved 2 year old with ADD!

A quick side note; as an IT professional, I can categorically state that whatever router you are using (even if you are running your Live! System piggy backed through a PC rather than a router) you will not notice a difference in sound quality (as some people seem to believe), that is purely and simply to do with the connections on the Live! Servers to yourself, and possibly the Internet Provider you use. Cheap "no brand” Routers don't bode well for your life on Live! But they won't ruin your life either, if you can set them up properly, if you stick with Linksys or Netgear you should be fine!

"Not very good at all!"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Owned mine for about one month and it went dead, it wouldn't recharge or turn on. This has happened to my previous wireless mic but at least I got to use that for six months. Voice quality is way better, thats why I am buying a new one. Plus I have broken two wired mics already :)

"Further to this argument -"

The staticy noises seem to depend on the router the user with the wireless headset is using. I have two wired headsets and both brought the same noise through, and other friends in the Gears of War lobby were complaining about the same noise. The difference in quality between the two headsets is huge. The wireless headset picks up a lot more unneeded noise whereas the wired one only seems to pick up your voice.

"I disagree"
5 stars"

I do not own this yet, but I must disagree with the poster who posted his review of it here. I have friends who own this and when they talk to me online, it sounds crystal clear. Maybe something is wrong with your specific headset, you should get it checked out.

Works great, comfortable on the ear, nice volume, louder than my old wired headset

"7/10"

Purchased on Mighty Ape

If i was to rate it, id give it a 7/10, because at random times it disconnects for a second, but the battery lasts ages and its handy not having to bring my wireless controller with me everywhere if im going AFK but still want to talk.

"Great product, Very useful"
5 stars"

Excellent product! Had it for over a year and never had any problems with it at all!!! Also there IS a mute button , ignore the reviews, the middle button between the volume up and down button(power button) acts as a mujte button if u tap it once, Only one problem with it, sometimes it decides to unsync with my console, but this rarely happens, and the battery lasts far longer then needed, its great

"Buyer Beware"
1 stars"

I brought this headset a while ago and it was great, no wires, lasted for 3 days of constant playing for only an overnight recharge.

BUT THEN.....

about 3 months later my wireless mic suddenly STOPPED recharging, I decided it wasn't a big issue since maybe I broke the chord or something. but later I found out that I hadn't broke the chord and that the battery suddenly without notice died on me! One minute it was perfect, the next DEAD.

I would much rather buy a wired mic since I have a wireless controller which actually means you can talk further away than with the wireless mic since the wireless is better in the controller than the mic.

"Beauty & The Beast... looks hot, but it has an ugly side... "
3 stars"

I've had this headset for about 18 months. I have never had any issue with people hearing me or sound quality but this headset does fail in other areas. One it doesn't have a mute button, which makes talking to anyone else in the room a mission, you either have to take your mic off, or say to the people on live “I wasn't talking to you” but that's a bit lame. The second thing which is the worst part of this mic is after a long gaming session of 4hrs + it really starts to hurt you ear.

So overall the sound and voice quality is fine, but the actual design leaves a little to be desired. I'm down grading to the standard 360 Headset.

This is a great buy it lasts way longer than the wireless and there is no wires that get in the way. I found the quality that come out of my mic was much better on the wireless than on my wired headset. It is also very comfortable and light to wear which is an improvement from the annoying overhead style of the wired.

"wireless vs pets"

i've had my wireless headset 4 a while now, love it and will never turn back 2 a wire 1 again after goin through 2 that my cat and dog wouldn't stop playing with it and unfortunately chewing the wires :< and due 2 CHCH NOT selling them ANYWHERE i will cherish mine heaps. ANd by the way, some of the frequency noises other people pick up from the wireless is because the battery is flat…aparently.

"`I love it"

its a must have in my opinion, It is comfortable, light and heaps clearer than the standard wired headset.

I dont know what the reviewer below is on about. Everyone is loud and clear on it, and I've had no complaints about the sound quality. Its a big thumbs up from me.

"Be aware..."
2 stars"

I originally had huge hopes for this accessory. Previously I have broken one of my wired headsets because I tripped on the cable attached to my 360. Now going online and playing with people who have these wireless headsets all I can hear is continual static. Sure the quality of being able to hear other people is superb, but other people can barely hear you. Not to mention that they become annoyed and tell you to change your mike.
