"Great game for Space Sim Lovers"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

If you have tried the previous games in the X series from Egosoft then you will see a similarity in the way this game is played . Yes the game has been buggy to start with but with the latest updates it has become a more enjoyable game. The new graphics engine which is 64 bit by the way boasts some pretty spectacular visuals I have to admit. Some people will find this game a bit of a challenge to begin with but once you get the hang of it you will enjoy it. One really good thing in this game to do with steam is in the main menu there is a section called extensions which can be created in the X Rebirth
folder under steam apps folder. You are given a option in the steam window for X Rebirth called Workshop which is where you will find mods created by the community to improve or make the game more enjoyable such as a jump drive that will save a lot of time traveling the highways for example. DO CHECK IT OUT if You like Space Sims.

"Broken at conceptual level, get the old game."

No radar, limited view port, stuck on 1 ship, you actually have to hunt down traders to trade.. a shop, foreign idea. May be playable after a couple of years with the modding community rewriting it… Get the old game.

"A hot mess at launch, to a good game with 4.0"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

As the title said's. The game was a hot mess at launch. Riddled with bugs and pretty much unplayable. However since then Egosoft has released 4.0 update for free and the Home of Light Expansion. The game actually now is very playable and fun. I was cautious to give it a try. But I am glad I did. Egosoft didn't give up on their game. Kudos to them for that. Steam reviews are also reflecting the positive changes, with recent reviews being popular. I'm glad I picked up this collectors box. The code worked on steam perfectly

"Rubbish"
1 stars"

I felt compelled to write this. One star for the times the game actually started. When on the rare occasion it does it soon kicks you out. Buggy from the start and still a huge work in progress. Only the games industry seems to be able to sell something that is broken. Inexcusable.
