Description

After long oppression...begins the fight for equality. The oppressor becomes brutal. Some revolutionaries match the brutality...to be rid of it. The world calls you terrorist and gives money and guns to the oppressor. You laugh and cry at the same time. You try to love what you hate. And, with the dignity of existence, you remain willing to fight for freedom...against all odds. *** Alf Whitmore has been hired to observe a man who sells explosives. He follows him to Alaska, China, and Nepal. In Nepal he sees the face of revolution.

Author Biography:

I was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire...my home base until age eighteen or so....but I also lived in Rhode Island, Hawaii, California, Maine, Florida, and Connecticut. My father was a U.S.Navy man...a submariner. I served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Was at Columbia University.. Have a degree from the Univ. Of N.H., and nineteen graduate credits. In 1967...moved to the Aleutian Islands. Unalaska/Dutch Harbor. Taught school a few years. Had a salmon gear permit...until the Japanese strung out illegal monofilament gill nets, twenty and twenty-five miles long. Thus...no pink salmon fishing for six years. Then "limited entry" entered, and I couldn't afford to buy a permit for seventy thousand dollars or so, or pay an attorney six thousand a year for renewal. Fished halibut. Worked for Unalaska Corporation and the city of Unalaska, laboring. Then was Parks Manager. Jigged for cod. Been to China four times, and to Nepal ten times. Maybe to Nepal next spring...2016. But this tells you little. You've got to meet a person.
