Peter O'Brien is a graduate of the Creative Writing program at Purchase College, SUNY. He has worked as a journalist, screenwriter, editor, and novelist. In addition to writing, O'Brien is an award-winning filmmaker, having directed two feature-length films (Riphouse 151: Could've Been's & Wanna Be's (2008) and Misery Loves Company (2012)) among various shorts, documentaries, and music videos.
