Anyone familiar with Doug Bedwell's work will not be surprised to learn that his poetry is every bit as eclectic as his other writing. The poems in this little volume cover a wide variety of topics, styles, and moods. Some are dark, some are humorous, some are deeply contemplative, while others seem to be little more than nonsensical wordplay. One feature that many of these poems share is that they are quite short, some consisting of only a few lines or a single sentence. To be sure, there are longer pieces as well, but this is not, by-and-large, a collection of extended homilies or epic recitations. These are ideas, moments, feelings and introspections, each distilled to its own curious essence.
