I hired this game last night, and completed it on the hardest available beginning difficulty, and four hours later, it was finished. It is extremely short with not many levels taking much more than half an hour to complete. The limitation of two weapons is pathetic. Handgun and two uzi style guns. Although the gameplay is interesting, the ability to bend bullets soon becomes old. There are far better games out there, and i can honestly say i wouldn't buy this unless it was cheap, like under $40. It became tedious in parts and i became frustrated, but it passed the time and had some enjoyable moments. Bosses are all very easy. I'd say its worth a hire but not purchase at its current price. I'd expect it to be in bargain bins in less than 6 months.

"Not for fans of the comic"
1 stars"

Following on from the terrible movie, this game promised to meld the world created in the brilliant comic with the version of the movie. In the end all you got was a variant of Wesley's “Killer costume” from the comic.

While some of the stages were interesting and challenging. The turret and sniper sections were quite terrible.

Someone else claimed that you unlock more characters with each character having their own story? this is not true, you do unlock new characters but you only get to use them in the same story over and over. Nothing new from one playthrough to the next

if you never read the comic and enjoyed the mvoie then this game is for you. If you read the comic and hated the movie then avoid this game with prejudice.

If you haven't read the comic or seen the movie then go buy the comic and and enjoy that much more than you will this game.

Description

This is the U.S version of Wanted, which is region free and will run on your NZ Xbox 360.

Based on Universal Pictures' action-thriller Wanted, this game promises to deliver the same fantastic visual style, in-your-face attitude and edge-of-your-seat action as the blockbuster motion picture. The game continues the story of hero Wesley Gibson, picking up the action where the film leaves off and creating an entirely new chapter exploring both Wesley’s journey to becoming an unmatched überassassin and the epic fiction of "The Fraternity."

Featuring intense third-person action, the Wanted video game will take combat to the next level with iconic moves -- such as "Curving Bullets" and "Assassin Time" - drawn directly from the film, as well as an innovative, multi-layered cover mechanic.

Features:
  • Intense Third Person Action: The development team at GRIN is best known for its action-oriented gameplay and the Wanted video game is no exception; the game will feature advanced shooting, fighting and assassin "finish" mechanics as well as acrobatic and stealth moves that will blow gamers’ minds
  • Iconic film Moves: Fans of the blockbuster film will immediately recognize the logic-defying combat styles and moves from the motion picture -- such as "Curving Bullets" and "Assassin Time" -- and will be able to execute those moves themselves as they take on the role of Wesley
  • Advanced Cover Gameplay: The Wanted video game will incorporate an advanced cover mechanic that will allow players to use the environment and other items to protect themselves as they engage enemies; the cover mechanic’s multi-faceted design changes the way "cover" gameplay is executed
  • Extending Film Storyline: The storyline of the Wanted video game picks up where the movie leaves off, providing fans with another chapter to explore both Wesley’s journey to become an überassassin as well as the epic fiction surrounding “The Fraternity”
  • Experienced Movie-Game Team: The Wanted video game re-teams the film studio with executive game producer Pete Wanat, who has previously collaborated with UPDPG on critically acclaimed movie-based games The Thing, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, and Scarface: The World is Yours
