We bought this as a Christmas present for our 6-month old. I thought it merely had lights and sound; actually the ball can move by itself (within reason) and our baby finds this intensely fascinating. Like all baby items, the sound gets a bit old for the parents – but it keeps bubs entertained for ages so that's what matters. Definitely helps motivate him to crawl to ‘catch’ it too.
